MAGIC CARPET

Four rug collections were designed. The collection, ‘Musical Note by Gauri’ draws inspiration from Mughal paintings, a blend of Persian and Indian styles. The romantic storybook settings with lotus pond, range of greens and other bright hues is interpreted through modern-day geometrical graphics.

Designs from the collection ‘Painted Heritage’ are influenced by the elegance and sophistication of decorated scenes of royalty from Rajasthan. The collection explores a new dimension by simplification and abstraction of fresco with an aged effect. It intends equipping the company with designs that stand for their identity from the place of their origin - Jaipur.

Another interpretation of ideation was work on a felted texture collection, ‘Exalt Purity;’ about embracing material in pure forms and imperfections. Textures were created with personality, a combination of primitive yet modern aesthetics. The fourth collection was ‘Urban Tribal’ wherein designs are exemplified on a Jacquard handloom.
