Ceramics and Glass Design programme takes inspiration from both intrinsic art and craft traditions. It offers courses to introduce the technological and skill aspects of the core materials while other courses such as form and structure; colour and composition, ergonomics etc. are offered to sensitise students towards the other essentials of design. Overall, the in-depth understanding of technology, production techniques, material skills and expression enables the students to take up challenges and make appropriate use of these materials in applications other than the conventional ones.
