Upholster an Identity
The aim was to create an identity and distinct home collection for Casamoda. The project was multi-layered with initial small projects and book-editing. Attributes and design elements like pattern, texture, plains were understood. It emphasised the importance of coordination. The final range is a group of interesting qualities, patterns and constructions. In turn, dynamic design process was followed and introduced as a team endeavor for domestic and international markets.
The first set were geometrical designs, inspired by “windmill.” The second and third sets were geometric, yet ethnic in nature. Further study of each theme, lead to several design directions that were discussed and taken forward.. The design process was an integral part of the project which was non-linear, organic and comprehensive, opened avenues for different ideas. This was especially valuable, to keep up with the industry pace. The project also bridges the gap between theoretical concepts and actual products.
