TECHNICOLOUR HOME
The aim was to develop a range of home furnishing collections for an international textile trade fair. One of the main objectives was to work towards a global market where one understands the demands and tastes of clients. A crucial requirement was to sensitise oneself towards the price and costing during each phase of the design process.
The project comprised a set of four collections, which were based on the trend boards of the fair itself and a collection for an existing buyer. Techniques of screen and digital printing were extensively used to execute the artworks into finished products. Simple stitching techniques were also explored to enrich the tactile surfaces. The final collection included a set of cushions, table-mats, runners and quilts with designs that embody the colourful palettes of Noorjehan, along with the raw and moody nature of coming trends.
