Printing with Effects : Home Furnishing & Fashion

The diploma project was focused to develop a new range of printed designs in home furnishings for exports; also task was to develop unique designs for the shirting collection. The idea was to introduce new prints in both areas, result in attractive, printed, design fabric.

Screen printed designs competed with the digital prints. Screen printing was preferred, even though it meant preparation of separate screens for each colour. The company had to introduce new sets of print collections for USA and European markets, within the minimum cycle time. Samples were presented under each theme, as full sizes to various buyers.

Most designs which were presented to buyers received overwhelming response and acceptance from the export market. The company has already initiated production planning for the confirmed orders.
