AUTUMN/WINTER’2014 COLLECTION
The project was to develop an autumn/winter collection - textile surfaces, silhouette patterns, fabrics, colour palette, samplings and garments. The target age group was women, upwards of 25.
Scope: to develop contemporary motifs with a new style in textures and forms; to explore various techniques in machine and hand embroideries, dyeing, printing; to develop a range of patterns, silhouettes and final collection.
Process : Following research, one developed sketches, explorations in textures and forms; also the motifs inspired from "migratory birds" to India during autumn/winter. One incorporated the motifs with floral forms inspired from Mughal art. A range of Indo-western garments were developed; including forecasting, textile and surface development, contemporary techniques with modern textures, material explorations, Indo-western silhouettes.

Basic Print Design: to “develop prints” through research study and inspiration
