PRINTS FOR HERITA GE
The project dealt with developing a collection of digital print for the spring-summer collection 2014. The prints were designed for men as well as women. The prints developed are inspired from a number of traditional ways, around the world. The collection is inspired by a variety of things, such as the lifetsyle of African tribes and geometric patterns found in nature. Jamewar and Ikat techniques were employed to make fabrics and traditional Indian motifs.
The process to develop the prints began with designing different patterns and textures by using analog mediums like ink, pen, watercolour and colour pencils on paper. The ideas on paper were then reproduced digitally and short-listed for printing. The final designs were printed digitally.
