Innovative Kitchen Appliances

The basic idea of this project is to apply the concept of technological convergence to motorised kitchen appliances. Since the mixer grinder is the most common appliance in Indian homes, one decided to use this as a base device and develop attachments like the hand blender that can use the power of this motor through a flexible shaft.

At this stage, the project deals with designing an adaptor that will fit all grinders in the Indian market that have a two-prong, push-turn lock mechanism. The project mainly involves development, testing and validation of the adaptor through multiple prototypes. This project could make stand-alone appliances like the blender and food processor obsolete, thus creating an upheaval disruption in the kitchen appliances market.
