Radar Level Transmitter

The main objective was to come out with a possible innovative solution for the bottom works (antenna and flange) of a radar level transmitter under its smartline series for the sponsor. The constraint was not to change the existing top works (transmitter head) of the device.

Various issues arising while installing the device were identified through research and interviews. These issues were resolved through systematic design process. Systemic approach of research enabled a better understanding of product and problem areas. Some of the concepts may not be directly implemented in the field, since they need to comply to various certifications.

Final concept has created based on the research insights to overcome the problems considering all engineering aspects. Some of the concepts can be taken further for future development with disruptive technology.
