Water Vending Kiosk
The sponsor is a social enterprise that has been working on drinking water solutions for under-privileged users. The company was looking for an integrated product for the urban context which could purify, store and distribute water.
For this, a detailed study of existing systems, technologies and products at the company was carried out to build the project base and five detailed case studies were done to figure out the design considerations. Various ideas and concept were proposed but only ideas which could be implemented in time were adopted. Since the size of the proposed product was already decided, the “form follows function” method was adopted.
The first working prototype was developed, installed and tested on site. The testing brought new insights and the enhanced design was proposed for the next version.
