Hourse of Goa
‘Houses of Goa’ is an illustrated tribute to celebrate the architectural beauty of Goa. The project was initiated by a design studio, for their love for Goa and its website went live on Goa’s 52nd Liberation Day 2013.
This project includes research done on the history of Goa, scaling from the 16th to 21st century, focusing primarily on the Portuguese architecture. Over 30 houses from all parts of Goa were personally visited, photographed and documented. The most essential component was the development of a vector-based illustration style for the web. Eighteen Goan houses have been intricately illustrated in a flat vector style.
A jubilant identity and website was also designed exclusively for the project. Apart from all the dominant work, promotional video clips, fliers, posters and GIF animations were also created. The project was featured in the Goa Streets and Hindustan Times newspaper and the Kyoorius Design Magazine.
