Indian by Design: A publication for Studio ABD
The project aim was to design a publication for the sponsor, an award winning product design firm based in Bengaluru. The studio wanted to communicate its Indian design philosophy.
It began with understanding the studio from several POVs - work done, process, philosophy. The next phase started with research and study on design publications in India. On the basis of this, the communication strategy was structured, according to which, typography, colour palette, information hierarchy and visual language were set. Based on these, visual explorations were started which were followed by design and layout for each product.
The outcome was a publication with 20 interesting stories of design having a deep Indian connect. Each story is beautifully narrated through graphical visual language and carefully chosen typography and product specific layout. The publication can be opened on any spread and enjoyed and need not to follow any order or sequence.
