Mobile App Design for TimesCity

TimesCity was undergoing a redesign to bring in the latest of technology, fresh new approach and a better user experience. As part of this exercise, the company aimed to work towards becoming the primary usage for youngsters for finding places to eat, movies to watch and events around their city.

The first task was to design the app for the Windows Phone, the second being the redesign of ‘Times Point’ badges in the app. Also user profiles were to be created for the app as well, starting from the iOS and android platform. Though the possibilities are immense, the users were still not very comfortable with using each and every feature. It is for the designer to realise what the hindrance is, how can the brand build a trust value and most importantly, make the use of a feature so simple that the user does not realise the effort he has to put in.
