diploma project
Visualizing the future of digital public displays
The aim was to create interaction templates for one of the six display technologies, IO display, and imagine a future with people centric displays that produce personalised content.
One had to understand the technology capabilities and explore its use-case opportunities, to prove the product can find place in the future and be relevant to the target audience. A large part of the literature review was understanding human sensing and the limitations of sensor technologies. When thinking of something like the possible applications of future technology, it is easy to get lost.
Since the product has not been realised yet to the point of proof of concept, the closest one can come to allowing people to experience it, is by making a vision video on specific use cases; demonstrating key design guidelines developed. The vision video was a combination of user interface design, filming, chroma keying and motion design.
