diploma project
Visual Identity for 'The Trees'
The project aims to create a design language for the sponsor’s architectural mixed-use development – The Trees – called so due to 34 acres of towering rain trees that line the avenues. The product proposition is ‘Imagine Life in The Trees’ and the principles upon which the architecture is designed are: Live, Learn, Work and Play. The core of the project is the visual identity that later extends to all aspects of visual communication.
The product authenticity is first understood, and a language created that communicates the aspirations. The challenge is integrating the ideology behind the development, proposition, principles and creating a graphic language that resonates with the brief. This language then is carried forward in numerous and varied realms, ranging from marketing collaterals to the graphics within the built environment. The final deliverable is a visual identity, which sets the grammar and tone for all the development visuals.
