Records for Life: Re-evaluating and Re-designing a Health Record
The project involved understanding how a health card figures in the health ecology of India, Kenya and Indonesia; setting up an evaluation framework to validate design entries sent through crowd sourcing, followed by short listing cards and testing to compare and understand various aspects of the cards that would work with the target audience; and subsequently drafting design recommendations for a universal health card framework. These recommendations were visualised through creation of a health card framework.
The process was laid out in phases – evaluation and validation of the crowd-sourced design entries; testing shortlisted entries through field work and visual mapping of locations; post-field analysis of data collected and drafting of report and design recommendations for BMGF.
Deliverables included a presentation and report of field findings and insights presented before a panel and final health card framework in form of a booklet (handbook) with content structuring, illustrations, color and type.
