THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT SOSYO
The film revolves around a young traveller who repeatedly comes across an unknown drink, Sosyo. As he embarks on a journey to discover more about it, his quest takes him into a city with vibrant bazaars; relentlessly pursuing and asking for directions. He is misled into a confrontation where the film form suddenly changes and the director and crew intervene to settle the matter! The end shows the traveller talking to locals about the drink.
The film is experimental in its narrative, exploring inner thoughts of the protagonist with sketches and animatic. It is a docu-fiction where the first half explores space and time with the audience in third person. It changes form in the second half with the viewer taken into the film’s real time and space, revealing that it was all staged and choreographed. The last section follows the documentary form, with the protagonist becoming the interviewer.
