Gaanth

The story of this short film is set in a small village of Gujarat, which is way behind in technology. Radio is still the only source of information and medium to connect with the outside world. Two little friends Imran and Ali, innocent by nature, fight against circumstances to fulfill the basic needs of their respective families. It revolves around their struggle to rescue their sister, who was sold to a landlord by her drug addict father and married to a man of around 45 years. The film is a journey of these young kids who face critical situations on account of their loved ones. The treatment is a parallel narrative of three different individuals, which talks about their seemingly simple life structure, weaving together the struggle of the kids against brutal social systems amid strict rules.
