KOTHA

This film is about an old, childless couple, coming to terms with their desperation for reconciliation with each other after an ugly fight; something that does not occur between them, often. One argument leads to the other, revealing their baser insecurities and they end up saying things they do not really mean. The wife makes an absurd stipulation to make peace with her husband, involving a third character - the pet parrot. How absurd is her demand? And to what length will they go to meet it?

The film is presented as a slice of life in its mundaneness and attractiveness. The audience breathes a comfortable air as they see and hear the conversations unravel. The flavour of their relationship is eased in through the subtle humour in the dialogues. Silence plays a pivotal role in accentuating the missing conversations between the couple after their fight.
