Aayo (Mother)
The story is about a teenage boy going through a feeling of remorse after his mother’s death. He recalls the time spent with her as a child and realises how the relationship changed when he grew up. This affects his relationship with his father and creates silence between them, but eventually he mends the bond.

The story deals with human emotions and family. Teenagers and adults are the target audience. We so involved in everyday life that we miss out things that are valuable. For the treatment various options were explored, which also worked as an inspiration for the story. Hand-drawn animation is blended with digital medium in a semi-realistic style. As the story plays in present and the past, two different styles are portrayed . The flashback sequence looks like an old film playing on a projector, while the present situations include rough lines and sharp textures.
