ANTS DON'T SPEAK BUT THEY WORK TOGETHER
The film is an insight into the world of a boy, who is a day dreamer. He is deaf and mute and has a special relationship with nature. On a train journey with his parents, he enjoys the cool breeze blowing into his face, the natural scenic environment, flora and fauna, trees, birds and last but not least, the ants. He expresses his desire of doing a nature trip to his mother, but the idea does not appeal to his father.
Eventually, he turns to nature, this time equipped with a pair of binoculars. While he looks out through them, he sees a family of ants – a mother, father and child – resting on the tree leaves; when suddenly, the wind blows them through the window, into the train, right into the face of his father. He saves the ant family from being crushed by his father and ends up being friends with them, more so because they also understand the language of love. He offers them food and they cling to his hand, which eventually zooms out to show the boy and his family in the hands of a larger benefactor.
