Tail of the deep

‘Tail of the Deep’ is loosely based on childhood experiences, friendships and obsessions. It is the story of an ill-tempered girl who learns a few basic lessons in life the hard way, when her wish unexpectedly comes true.

This film follows the journey of bitter and selfish Rita, who simply cannot forgive her best friend.It doesn’t take long before Rita is tossed into a storm of events,which make her realise many of her mistakes and leave her gasping for breath. It is more like an excerpt than a story, a simple series of events that went through many changes to reach its final result.

Simple hand-drawn animation was used, coloured and touched up on the computer. The project tries to capture the simple essence of growing up and the concept of spreading love in the world.
