Her Long Nails

This project titled 'Her Long Nails' is a story based on a self-written poem which talks of the realisation of a small girl regarding the definitions of morality and acknowledgment of the moral police, over a period of time. It depicts the objectification of the female since childhood. The protagonist is therefore depicted through various objects she’s either compared to or achieves her identity through; while the men are depicted through strong body postures with all the features of a "true man" (chest hair and huge feet). The film takes up different men and their association with society. Man is either the trusted one or the preacher or the famous person who has authority to make decisions or he is just another man who constitutes society.

The treatment is hand done, using lightbox for animating; using various mediums such as ink, charcoal, block prints, stop motion, live action.
