Design a Luxury Sedan for Year 2020

Initially, for designing a luxury sedan for the year 2020, the current market scenario, changes and preferences were analysed. Brainstorming was done on how people perceived luxury. With gasoline cars expected to near extinction, electric seemed to be the only possible alternative. Focus shifted on luxury sedans in the market and consumer preferences. Other parameters were discussed, regarding what the vehicle would look like, would it run on the same gasoline platform and would automotive giants invest in the design.

Focus shifted towards trends, lifestyle and target consumers. Moodboards were generated, depicting the scenario and project requirements. Themes were generated to explore all possible directions. One sketch was taken forward and converted into the alias model with photoshop renders for presentation. It is felt that the conventional gasoline design will slowly merge into the “i” vision. resulting in a new driving machine with modified DNA.
