Guide
Krishna Patel

This project is the outcome of an in-depth study of an ancient vegetarian tribe of India who are known for their traditional Poothukuli, as well as their identity, traditions, values, beliefs, customs, societal and economic aspects. Taking the tribe as an inspiration, collections comprising wall coverings and lifestyle products were developed for Wari Watai, a Bangalore based design studio that caters to clients such as Asian Paints. This project was to be pitched to Nilaya, an offering from Asian Paints known for its signature wall coverings, from the finest manufacturers from around the world. The objective of the project was to promote the long lost crafts of tribes of India.
