diploma project
Enhancing the Multisensory Experience through CMF in Bicycles
The diploma project at TI cycles started with the brief of enhancing multisensory experiences into a bicycle through colour, material and finishes. The four product segments were chosen for the project, which are dedicated to daily commuting users, mostly from rural and semi urban areas.
The major challenge was to understand the facts behind their restrictiveness towards certain colour, material & finishes while buying a product. It was in order to identify the alternative CMF strategies and provide the suitable CMF options for them. The project involved studying various aspects of their lifestyle and understanding the importance of CMF in their lives. It also included in-depth research on colour psychology and symbolism and their varied significance in different regions.
The end deliverable was to propose CMF for the upcoming year and develop swatches for the same.
