PLAYPORT- Space design for Children

The objective was to design a retail space for children and travellers commuting through an airport’s domestic terminal. The space was meant to be a leisure area for passengers before they board their flights, and to be a welcoming space for both children and adults. The project involved creating the identity for a brand, as well as graphics for a retail space.


After conceptualising ideas for the retail space, the play ideas and graphics for the store, along with brand identity, were developed simultaneously. The focus was on designing play installations in the store. Mock-ups were refined and rendered in 3D and as prototypes, which would later be built to scale and installed at airports. Working on a project geared towards the lifestyle of children and their products offered a look at things from an interesting and different perspective.
