iPhone Cases inspired from Indian Craft

The brief was to design a series of iPhone/iPad cases inspired from Indian Heritage. The product developed should be made from sustainable material. The aim was to leave an expression or experience of Indian Craft/Heritage.

Design Process: The sponsor believes that everything increases in magnitude with every step, from research to testing. The increase could be from cost, man hours, CAD modeling, material cost to prototyping cost. Quick prototyping helps in rectifying minor mistakes.

Consolidation: Steam bent veneer cases with wood inlay work inspired from Mysore Dusara and Mysore City were developed which are cost effective and easy to mass produce. It is a product of delicate relationship between technology and craftsmanship.
