The project focused on craftsmen who practice Indian traditional footwear making. It also included the study of design and material intervention in the making of the traditional craft of footwear. It also included the detailed study and understanding of the whole process of footwear production and its processes. The project showcases the range of casual shoes inspired by Indian traditional footwear craft focusing on what could be the future trends of leather footwear. The target market mainly consists of the elite class and upper middle income group. So their style of living and choices were studied in detail.
