The project was about designing a range of analogue watches on the concept of ‘Personal Time’, incorporating physical interactions and keeping intact the innate features of a watch. The process involved gathering information from trend studies, analysis of the watch industry, and understanding the associated materials and manufacturing processes. It also involved studying the relationship between time and people and the associated personal and cultural perception of time, thus exploring the qualitative aspects of time. Based on the derived inferences, an interactive and quirky collection of watches was designed. The project was in many ways an experiment in personal timekeeping and time-based artefacts.
