"Alo" is a lighting brand initiated by the founder of Trampoline Design, Bikram Mittra. The idea is to create a new range of interior luminaries that challenge the way lighting design is perceived in the designer-lighting market. The path for LED lighting will test the way lighting is conceived and the resultant products will treat LEDs as pattern creating elements rather than as light sources. By creating new forms using materials that challenge the “lamp-shade” aesthetic these products moved it to a ‘sculptural’ aesthetic which complement as well as push the boundaries of interior architecture in office/retail environments as well as modern home interiors.
