With houses being printed in China, and stem cell research seeing hope in 3D printing, it's definitely a domain worth understanding. I worked together with experts to understand the contexts and limitations of current techniques to bridge the gap between 3D printing and ID tools. I modelled and prototyped certain forms for lighting systems, which are otherwise impossible to manufacture. The same learning was then applied to build relevant processes involving 3D printing, to aid a project where a range of fitness equipments were to be designed. The precipitate includes some valuable techniques for an Industrial Designer's repertoire.
