Antariksha Sanchar: An Indian Speculative Science Fiction Adventure Game

Antariksha Sanchar is a collaboration between Quicksand and BLOT!. It is a transmedia production involving a game, a graphic album, merchandise and Audio Visual performances. The primary focus of the diploma project was to help in creation of the video game with focus on environment design, gameplay and narrative. The process was highly iterative and required one to constantly change roles and contribute to various work-streams. The result was content for the video game in the form of cinematics, levels and puzzles.

-What is the role of a new media designer in a transmedia production?

-To understand the process of making an Indie video game

-To remediate older media for the video game

- To identify and establish key aspects for a distinctly Indian science fiction video game.
