Silver Accessories for Corporate Gifting

For my project, I created a new innovative silver collection of accessories for men and women in the corporate segment which would serve as corporate gifts. I initiated my project with a study of competitors and current luxury trends prevailing both nationally and internationally. Interacting with store managers and clients helped me to understand their preferences.
The design process involved brainstorming, conceptualizing, creating visual boards and sketches. The key accessory I designed was that of a bag hook which provides a solution to where people can place their handbags in a social setting. Neither placing it on the floor or setting it on the table is a convenient option. At the end of the hook is a flat disk that rests on the top of a table's edge, carrying the weight of the handbag.
I also designed a complete new collection of accessories inspired by the Ostrich form, by blending wood and suede with silver to make a complete new collection of accessories which was young, sophisticated, elegant and contemporary. These included key chains for both men and women in suede and wood, money clips and mobile clips for both men and women, and finally, bookmarks for women. I also designed suede pouches and gift boxes for packaging these products.
My industry experience helped me acquire an understanding of a full range of production processes as well as the skill of managing professional interactions with various levels of management. I now clearly understand the connectivity between the market and the design firm. |
