The graduation project was to design a system that utilises available data on epidemics and diseases in an intelligent manner, to provide researchers and outbreak investigation teams with insights and thus allow them to build models of outbreaks, through visualization frameworks. Visual representation of data can often lead to new insights and reveal structures that written representations might be ill suited for. The project helped learn about the mathematical side of systems and about graphic design. It helped realise the immense potential of systems that rely on an inclusive scientific approach towards problem solving. It also helped understand visuals, in an entirely new context.
