The premier focus of the project was to research Colour, Material and Finishes (CMF) preferences of Indian office goers with respect to office workstation furniture, anthropometric requirements and technological interventions. The data was used to develop furniture concepts for the modern Indian workplaces. As a deliverable an interactive and personalised table was designed. The smart table syncs with the app on the user’s mobile device to help remind the user about changing position, drinking water, looking away from the screen, etc. It also has an inbuilt wireless charger for phones, induction heater in the form of a coaster, pneumatic mechanism with a central button to ensure both right-handed and left-handed access, to name few.
