Music and the internet
Blue Frog was a global concept born in Mumbai aimed at breaking new ground in the creation, production and distribution of music through people, technology, sound and innovation anywhere in the world. However, few knew of the novel concept that Blue Frog embodied. Since this was a new joint venture, it needed to make its presence felt among investors, musicians and the general public. This, it felt, would make for a successful business operation.
The introductory web version of Blue Frog had to exhibit a trailer or a snippet of the many activities Blue Frog intended to carry out. The users were to be enabled to achieve their information goals efficiently. The basic idea was to offer the target audience “more to come,” leaving them with a need to come back for even more. This would lead to greater awareness and add credibility to the company leading to an increased market share.
Grandmother India was assigned the task of creating the Blue Frog brand. In addition, since the first web version of Blue Frog was being conceived, I was also involved in developing solutions for the website. The brief was to develop solutions for the promotion of brand Blue Frog on multiple mediums with a simplistic, coherent approach. The full project consisted of creating Blue Frog brand identity (logo); developing corporate branding print material, environmental graphics; creating design for advertising and promotion, and a web presence for Blue Frog; developing an online audio library for music professionals, an online audio production collaborative tool, and solutions for adaptation to other mediums like mobile phones, and portable media devices.
Every user visiting the website would have his/her unique needs. So the look and feel, navigation and information dissemination had to be sensitively designed to cater to this broad audience.
