The main objective of this project was to design and develop activity boxes for children. The user group finalised was children from 4–7 years, which falls under the pre-operational stage and where children have very distinct attributes and behaviour for every year that they grow. These factors were studied based on the year-on-year growth. After researching the Montessori method of teaching, working on a design process through the Double Diamond model and collecting data using the Big6 process, possible themes were explored. The two themes finally developed were – Vegetable Champion and Space Explorer.
