This project aimed to create a wayfinding strategy and signage system to help the user navigate the university campus with ease and thereby binding the large campus through a unified system. The target group was primarily students/parents/visiting faculty and the community inhabiting the campus. The design focused on providing the campus with a sense of coherence and connectedness. The way-finding system provided the information needed to access the campus environment in a thoughtful and structured fashion transforming the unfamiliar surroundings into a comfortable, friendly, welcoming place. Signage was used as a communication tool not only to facilitate access, but also to reflect the institutional culture and complement the setting of the institute’s architecture and environment.
