Synopsis
This film tells the story of a lonely and dejected young man who doesn’t really care if he dies; he has given up on life. The theme itself, the melancholic colour palette, the ‘almost realistic’ animation style, and the inclusion of death as a non-negotiable, inevitable force, makes it a film for a more mature audience.
The young man meets his death in an accident with a speeding bus, and in the moment before death, his life flashes him by. Included among his memories of failures, lost opportunities and loneliness, are also the nostalgic memories of a happy childhood and forgotten achievements. With Death standing right next
to him, he thinks of all that he could have done and could have been. But will he get his second chance?
