Synopsis
This film aims to provoke debate and discussion in the audience in view of the dwindling number of girls in desert belt of Rajasthan. The story is based on a true life incident involving the recently developed matrimonial trend of a girl-for-a-girl system known locally as Aaata-Saata or the Double-Jodi plan, the practice of which is prevalent among the Shekhawati Jat clan. The film further brings to light related social issues like honour killing and bride-buying in the context of an adverse sex ratio. Considering the gravity of the storyline and usage of strong visuals, the music in the film was deliberately underplayed.
