Synopsis

Urbanisation of cities can be the test beds for new kinds of systems that can effect a big change in the way cities evolve and function. One such system, the Bus Rapid Transit system (BRTS) in Ahmedabad was chosen as a reference point for this project.

The main focus was on mobility solutions for the city by ironing out the kinks in the current transport system while embracing its positives in terms of philosophies and principles. The final outcome of the project was a module-based mass transit system which solves the problem of accessibility in context with the ever-increasing space crunch in Ahmedabad.
