Synopsis
This project aimed to further diversify the traditional mundu fabric and the design of two collections of ready-to-wear clothing for both men and women of the state of Kerala.
The look of the first range was drafted along the lines of the traditional and original aesthetics of the mundu, which is simple and yet rich in its minimalist approach. The second one used printed fabrics and details like panels, yokes etc. The project also offered an opportunity to dissolve various issues for the weaving communities through product diversification and design intervention.
