Synopsis
The project called for upgrading the existing public bicycle sharing system with specifically designed bicycles and docking stations while ensuring that the cycle scheme can be scaled up efficiently with minimal complexity in maintenance.
A simple, strong, ergonomic and unisex form was designed for the bicycle whilst integrating all the essential components. An ergonomic frame which conformed with Indian Anthropometric dimensions ensured that the bicycle was comfortable for a wide user group. The docking station was designed with a central locking system.
