Synopsis
The project centred on the design and development of robotic tin toys with diversified interactive functions for the purpose of export. The research was a mix of online study and meeting the users in Indian market on one-to-one basis whilst keeping the foreign users in mind.
Many explorations were made using a variety of hand skills before the final design direction was chosen. The final two concepts of the robots featured a key-based winding mechanism and showcased different dynamic movements. Other work collateral to the main project included a range of classic sound and movement-based clicker toys were made related to themes like sports, entertainment, relationships and festivals.
