Synopsis
This easy-to-assemble bicycle is targeted at kids in the age group of nine to twelve years. Its main aim is to renew their interest in bicycles and provide an opportunity for children to directly handle components of the bicycle so that they develop an understanding of its structure and workings. Therefore the design intervention aimed to simplify the assembly process and reduce the number of individual components.
By specially designing each and every part of the bicycle, the components were drastically reduced to a few major modules such as the frame, fork, handlebar, drive train and wheels, with pre-embedded joineries. Info-graphics at strategic positions on the bicycle guide the user for ease of assembly.
