Synopsis
The project revolved around creating a range of fabrics and surfaces for hotel interiors. The research called for understanding the trends in the hospitality sector, field visits to international hotel sites, studying the space and play of colour and light and also the essence of the local culture in terms of motifs and forms.
Starting from textile forecasting for interiors, building an archive of fabrics, conceptualising and creating visual narrative metaphors, the design process culminated in the development of a cohesive and coordinated fabric range with focus on the textile surfaces and textures using creative stitching, layering, etc.
