Synopsis
This project proffered an opportunity to address the future of water distribution in Indian schools and society. It aimed at designing a dispensing solution for potable water within the parameters of sustainability, affordability, modularity, accessibility and aesthetics.
The final concept was selected through a transparent and logical process based on its overall performance within the aforementioned parameters. With an aim to strike the right balance between meaningful design and technology, the remote-controlled dispensing unit was equipped with a solar panel and designed ergonomically. Through the approach of inclusive design, this project endeavours that schools will be future water distribution points for the surrounding community.
