Synopsis

The fast gaining popularity of gigapixel imaging is due to its capacity of displaying environments and artwork in unprecedented detail. The main aim of this project was to capture panoramic cityscapes of the city of Udaipur and convert it to interactive images that enable the user from anywhere in the world to explore the city from a unique point of view, thereby putting India on the world map of interactive media through gigapixel imagery and promoting tourism. An interactive installation that explores the world of immersive photography allowing participants to explore large-scale panoramic images was the final output.
