Synopsis

Animation is still in the nascent stage in the area of graphic user interfaces. This project provided an opportunity to apply the principles of animation to screen-based experiences with subtlety and finesse for elevating the overall user experience.

A dynamic language which featured a library of easily replicable and inclusive dynamic metaphors covering frequent interaction types was developed for the Samsung Feature Phone to enhance its emotional and intuitive quotient. These were designed to be exciting yet unobtrusive and comprehensible to novices and experts alike. Ten final concepts with explorations, metaphor abstraction, review and user validation, and transition guidelines with detailed final scenarios were the end deliverables.
